About Us

The Invitational Regatta for The Hoag Cup is a collaboration among Newport Harbor Yacht Club, Balboa Yacht Club and Hoag Hospital Foundation. Together these organizations, along with the event committee and community, will bring this yachting experience to life.

Newport Harbor (NHYC) and Balboa Yacht Club (BYC) are the facilitating yacht clubs. Using their expertise and contacts, the yacht clubs will recruit race participants and provide on the water race management for the regatta. Newport Harbor Yacht Club and Balboa Yacht Club maintain world-class yachting facilities, and their involvement in hosting high-profile regattas continues to be internationally recognized.

Through the support of sponsors and efforts of the competitors, the real winner of the event will be the patients of Hoag Hospital. Such teamwork is poised to create an exceptional experience and produce immense benefits for our community.
